Book Blurb:

In exchange for her father’s life, Amarantha agrees to marry the dreadful Beast and be his wife for seven days. Though the Beast cannot take Amarantha’s virginity unless she begs him to, he can and does take her in every other way. From the moment they are alone together, the Beast relentlessly strips Amarantha of all her resistance.

If Amarantha can resist her cloaked and terrifying husband, she gains his entire fortune and will be allowed to return to her family and a normal life. But the Beast seduces her at every turn, exposing, binding, tormenting, and pleasuring Amarantha until she no longer knows her own deepest desires.

Increasingly desperate to break the curse that chains his humanity, the Beast drives Amarantha past every boundary. But her desire for a normal life may jeopardize the love that will save them both.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play, BDSM theme and elements, dubious consent.

My Review:

This is a highly erotic adult fairytale and I loved it.  It's a re-telling of the Beauty and the Beast story with BDSM elements and it is smoking hot.  The story was well written and the plot moved at a very good pace.

Amarantha is the youngest daughter of a once wealthy man.  Her father has squandered all of his money and gone heavily into debt, in fact he is in danger of being killed because of how much and who he owes.  Somehow the Beast discovers this situation and offers him a large amount of money in exchange for the hand of his daughter in marriage, something that Amarantha's father agrees to with a condition.  The condition is that if the marriage is not consummated that Amarantha may return to her family and the wedding will be annulled and she would be free to remarry.

Amarantha is not happy with the arrangements that her father has made.  She is a product of the condition that she has been raised in, she is spoiled and thinks of nothing beyond the next item that she can purchase to wear or own.  When her father and sister tell her of the condition in the marriage agreement and the Beast confirms it, she thinks that all she will have to do is simply deny her husband the marriage bed, she acknowledges that he can do anything else though and believes that she has found a way to keep her freedom.

The Beast is a complete Dom and he is very well written, he has loved Amarantha from afar and wants to keep her.  He has realized that she will be the perfect submissive if he can just get her to acknowledge it.  He puts in place a very erotic seduction plan but has a time limit in that he only has 7 nights to get his plan to work.

The interaction between Amarantha and The Beast is very well done.  The dialogue is at times sweet and tender and at other times highly erotic.  I was mesmerized by this story and read it from start to finish with the only interruptions being to get something to cool off.  I will definitely be looking for the next story from Ms. Paris.

My Rating:  5 out of 5 Stars
