About the book:

Wolf Town Guardians – Born to walk this world as both wolf and human, these men take their role as protectors very seriously. Enjoying sensual pleasures as they please, this group of alpha werewolves are the finest when it comes to protecting their hidden settlement.

Guardians are the masters of self-control, taking pride in their authority and hard, muscled bodies. That all changes at the first scent of their mates. Their control snaps. The mating heat begins.
This is their stories.

To claim his mate, Connor will have to break all of the rules…
It’s a good thing rules were made to be broken.

Connor Bouchard is a werewolf with a huge secret. He’s mated, but he’s done everything he can to avoid claiming her. But the wolf that lives within him has had enough. And even if it means war, this alpha cowboy will have his mate.

Natalie Miller spent her entire life living on the Amish settlement in Missouri. Her world was safe… Until the night everything exploded in her face. She learns that nothing about her life was what it seemed… Even her. In a fiery blaze of horror, secrets are revealed… And an enemy of old comes back into play.

Forced to accept Connor’s protection, Natalie refuses to indulge in the attraction that lies between them. She didn’t count on the heat, though. It burns within her as she craves a satisfaction that she never needed before. Natalie finds herself wanted by two men, both of them willing to fight to the death to have her. Only one of them is destined by fate to have her, though.

Connor has to seduce her, the sooner the better. The full moon is quickly approaching, his opponent determined to possess his mate. Can Connor tame this wild filly before it’s too late?

He stopped in front of a stall. A horse watched them warily, her body locked in place. She was a gleaming shade of dark chestnut with a white star on her forehead. There was something almost vulnerable about the horse, something that touched Natalie deeply. “She’s beautiful, Connor. What’s her name?”

“Her name is Star,” he replied, staring at Natalie. “And she’s yours.”

“What do you mean?” She gasped out, staring between him and the horse. “This is my surprise?”

“Indeed it is.” Connor looked at the horse with a frown. “She’s a rescued horse. Her previous owners treated her horribly. It’s a wonder that she even survived, but she did. Star is resilient, but she’s not able to trust anyone. When I heard about her, I knew she needed you.” He stopped to look down at her, his expression unreadable. “Even more, I think you need her.”

“Thank you, Connor,” Natalie said, her voice trembling. She was touched by his gift, more so than words could say. Overcome by it all, she surprised them both when she hugged him.

His arms wrapped around her quickly, holding her tight. A long moment passed, and then another. In her mind, she fit perfectly within the shelter of his arms. She wondered if Connor felt the same.

“You’ve got to be shitting me,” a male’s voice interrupted them, his tone loud and incredulous.“Connor, even in the barn? Really?” He sounded disgusted as he added, “This man ought to be neutered. It’s not safe to let him roam the streets, woods, or even barns. Once he was even caught messing with one of Alexander’s maids, and you want to know what’s worse? He was wearing red lipstick.”

Natalie jerked away from Connor. She was mortified by the other man’s words. Peeking past Connor’s large frame, she saw a large Native American male standing about twenty feet back. He was with a pretty blonde female who looked extremely exasperated. He had to be another guardian, his size and demeanor left no doubts in her mind to his identity.

Connor rolled his eyes and smirked before turning around to greet him. “Oh, hell,” he drawled out in a mocking tone of voice. “So Marrok is back and looking just as grouchy as he always did. What’s the matter, old boy? Did you piss your mate off on the honeymoon and get your sorry ass thrown out in the doghouse?”

About the book:

Paisley

I’m discovering who I am in this world. Venturing out on my own, away from my parents, and finding out what life is really all about. College isn’t as easy as I thought it would be, especially with my best friend Evan becoming someone I hardly recognize.
But then I met Gabe. He changed everything. My life will never be the same.

Gabe

I lived my life day to day, waiting for something great to happen.
Then she walked into the coffee house, with her long legs and killer smile. I had to know her. Nothing was going to stop me. She hypnotized me from the moment I laid eyes on her.
And after the first kiss, my fate was sealed to Paisley.

Content Warning: This book is recommended for ages 17 and up. Adult situations, including sex, underage drinking, and drugs will be found within these pages.

Kristy and I found ourselves a corner. I sipped a little more of my beer, finally getting the bottle a little more than halfway gone. Nursing the drink probably wasn’t the best idea, but as long as I kept this in my hand, I didn’t feel like such a loser. Maybe my friends were right. It was time to quit taking the easy route. I needed to have fun.

“Who is that hot guy? I think he’s checking you out.” Kristy poked my side.

I followed her gaze. Gabe.

“Go talk to him.” She pushed me.

“I, uh, I already did.”

Her eyes lit up. “Seriously? Well, who is he?”

I shrugged. “I met him before work at a coffee shop. He stared at me the whole time. Then tonight, when he got here, he watched me like he is now.” I should feel self conscious, but I didn’t. “As I waited for you, he came and talked to me, but Evan chased him away. To be honest, he’s freaking me out a little.” Kind of, but he intrigued me so much more.

“He can’t keep his eyes off of you.”

She was right. Even as he spoke to the guy with him, his eyes never left me. My heart raced. I honestly didn’t know what to think. It wasn’t like I’d never dated before. I’d had a few boyfriends in high school, but nothing serious.

“Go talk to him,” Kristy pressed.

“Who?” Evan showed up at just the right time. Go figure.

“No one,” I said quickly.

“She’s being silly. That guy.” Kristy pointed. Great, now he knew we were talking about him.

“She needs to stay away from him.” Evan put his arm around me again, only now he put a little more weight against me. If I didn’t think he’d fall, I’d have moved.

Kristy stared at Evan’s arm a moment then asked, “Why? He’s hot.”

“I don’t know. But my roommate says he’s trouble.”

Of course he was. He parked his bike wherever he wanted. “I need to use the restroom. Hold my drink.” I handed it to Kristy.

I wandered around the house. It was two stories, surely they had a restroom down here, but I didn’t find one. I headed up the creaky stairs. Sounds of groaning welcomed me at the top, making me giggle. Some people were having a lot of fun.

After using the restroom, I checked my appearance in the mirror. I turned by head back and forth. Maybe I did need to let my hair down. Tugging the elastic out, I let my long locks fall over my shoulder. I fluffed it with my fingers. The crease wasn’t so bad, and besides, more than half the people here were drunk. They weren’t going to care how my hair appeared.

I left the bathroom and stopped in my tracks. Leaning against the opposite wall was Gabe.

“Uh, hey again.” I grinned awkwardly.

“Having a good time?”\

“I guess.”

A girl walked up wobbly, holding the wall the whole way. She pushed me out of the way, slamming the bathroom door. Now I stood close to him. Near enough I could touch him if I wanted.

“You sure that guy isn’t your boyfriend?”

I nodded. “Positive.”

“He comes across like he is.” His blue eyes bore in to mine.

“Well, he isn’t. Why would I lie?”

He shrugged. “Walk with me.”

I glanced around. We were upstairs, and there wasn’t anywhere to go. I knew once I went down stairs and Evan saw, he’d stop us. “It’s not a good idea.”

“Why?”

I leaned closer to him, inhaling his intoxicating scent and said, “From what I hear, I should stay away from you.”

He chuckled. “Is that so? And what do you think?”

I think I should see where he wants to take me, but I didn’t say that. “I don’t know you.”

“Then get to know me. Come on. One little walk. What could go wrong?”

The bathroom door opened and the drunk girl reemerged. “Awesome party!”

I laughed and watched as she concentrated on walking. Poor girl. I hoped she made it down the stairs.

“So?” He raised an eyebrow.

It was tempting. Take a walk with him, talk, get to know him, and find out why everyone thought he was trouble. “I think I’m going to pass.”

The cutest smirk I’d ever seen appeared on his face. “Paisley, you’re really going to make me work, aren’t you?”

The sound of my name on his lips was like music. “How did you know my name?” That was stupid, he could’ve asked someone.

“From the coffee shop when you got a drink.”

“Oh, yeah.”

He reached out and brushed a lock of hair from my face. My breath caught when his fingers lightly touched my skin, and I swear every nerve was on end.

“I like a good challenge.” He walked away, leaving me standing there, speechless.

About the book:

Michaela Prentice and Jordan Marsh's friendship began in the worst of circumstances after she discovered his girlfriend in bed with her fiancé.   It had seemed only natural to spend time together as they got over their mutual breakups, but she soon realized Jordan wanted more than friendship.

Jordan Marsh knew the minute he met Michaela that he had to have her. Unfortunately she was already taken, but he wasn’t about to let her get away. When Jordan sets a goal he’s relentless until he gets what he wants, and what he wants is Michaela.

As they make the transition from friends to lovers, Jordan exposes a sensual side to his nature that Michaela didn't know existed and can't seem to resist.  However, Michaela quickly learns that Jordan isn’t the friend or lover she thought she knew. His world is filled with secrets and she soon finds herself caught up in his deceptions.  Is she facing another betrayal?

Warning: This book is funny, steamy and contains sex scenes with chocolate that some readers might find delicious.

I’ve learned so many things since self-publishing my first book, Trust Me, but what really stands out that is that self-publishing is a myth. Publishing is not some thing you can do on your own.  A writer needs a team to publish a book that includes editors, beta readers, cover artists.  It’s an incredible amount of work and I continue to learn as I go along, but my readers make it all worthwhile.  I am so grateful to readers and reviewers who have encouraged me to keep writing because they love my characters as much as I do.

I wanted to take this time to tell you a little more about Relentless and the Marsh Brothers’ series.  Relentless is the first book that introduces you to the three brothers; Jordan, Ian and Trevor. They have established a successful e-commerce corporation which dominates electronic payments system around the world and as a result they’ve become extremely wealthy.   Unfortunately for the brothers, they have found that although money holds so many benefits, it has also effectively isolated them from forming meaningful relationships.

Relentless, is about Jordan who manages to hide his wealth from the woman he loves while plotting to seduce her.  Jordan and Michaela attend an office Christmas party.  After the party and a little too much champagne, Jordan takes Michaela home and they cross that line from friends to lovers.  In the morning, Jordan couldn’t be happier but Michaela is little shell shocked and tries to take a step back. Jordan isn't about to let that happen.  For the first time Michaela sees a new side of Jordan, one that isn't the easy going friend she's used to. Sex changes everything....

Michaela is a smart, strong woman who has a history of finding her boyfriends in bed with other women.  Although I wouldn't describe her as damaged she's certainly cautious in her relationships because of it.  What I love about her is that no matter what happens to her she never loses her sense of humor.

Jordan is definitely an alpha male but doesn't have the typical dark tortured soul. Like Michaela, he has a great sense of humor. He's definitely controlling and after waiting so long for Michaela to see him as more than a friend he's impatient to move forward with their relationship.

I have to tell you I have really fallen in love with the Marsh brothers. I can’t wait to bring you Ian’s and Trevor’s stories.  All of these books in this series will be fast-paced, fun, and sexy with just the right amount of mystery to keep things interesting.

Let me know what you think. I love hearing from my readers.

Excerpt

Well, wasn’t that just the crap on the cake. Selfish. Once again, Ray was thinking of herself before she found out the whole story. James wasn’t ditching her.

“You know, you could have called and rescheduled. I would have understood.” She wouldn’t have liked it, but she knew about having a business and needing to be there. It was the same way with her dad, and for a while, herself.

“I didn’t want to miss our date. You’re a beautiful woman, giving me a chance and I’m messing it all up with my mare. Besides, Doc told me if I didn’t get some food then I’d never make it through the night. I really don’t want to screw this up.”

“Hey. Don’t worry about it. I understand. We’ll enjoy whatever time we have.” Not that the hurt faded completely. There was still a pang in her chest knowing the date was a failure. “Do you want to order something and if necessary, I can bring it out to the ranch? You’ve got to eat.”

He ran his hand down her cheek. Ray leaned into his touch. This was what she wanted. She breathed a sigh of relief when the legs of the chair closest to her scraped against the floor as he pulled it out and then sat down. He was turned slightly toward the table, his shoulders turned to face her.

“You’re such a sweetheart. Thank you. I don’t know how long she’s going to be.” James leaned over, brushed his lips across hers.

Twenty Second Century

Sheraton Home World

I’m going to have to steal someone else’s body to get out of here.

“Ariel, are you listening?”

Ariel Transcender stared dumbfounded at the mother superior of her prison, a/k/a Aulnale School for Orphans. “Yes, mistress.”

She had no idea what happened, though she pasted a fake simpering smile of appreciation on her face. Ms. Rochelle walked away.

A few minutes later, Ariel looked out the window again, tuning out Rochelle’s mind numbing lecture on what was proper behavior when near a man. The boarding home on this planet gave the stupidest lectures of the galaxy. Her lips curled into a sneer. Women were not excited to be bound to men.

Could I do this to someone else? Do I have any other choice?

Lenchena, the teenage girl who’d stolen her adult body and taken off on Ariel’s ship, needed to be found. And Ariel refused to listen to the daily drivel about always listening to a man.

No longer on her planet, Grinocx, she did her best to understand this planet’s culture. Order made sense, but the Sheratons never made sense. Her gaze wandered to the well-manicured lawn designed for ostentatious parties. Not paying attention, Ariel’s mind still picked up a few phrases in the lecture, please a man, be agreeable, and do whatever is asked with a smile, floated in the air.

Lenchena’s voice became animated as she told them, “Ferula can be used on your future husband to ensure he finds completion even if you are too tired to perform your duties. However, with your husband, do this sparingly or else he’ll find you a lazy wife.”

Ariel blinked after that statement. Another grueling lecture on pointless marriage and sex. Blah, blah, blah. Her people, Grinders, didn’t believe in love and mating only to reproduce. Being stuck on Sheraton where the women dressed in long dresses, caring for homes with neatly cut green grass, and doing nothing more exciting than watching the pink dawns, while the men held careers in outer space, had never been her plan.

Was she really sitting in a lecture on how to please the male species? She rolled her eyes. Seriously? No, she refused to listen to this nonsense. The words ‘ladies never say no’ reverberated behind her back and made her face pucker.

Ariel schooled her features, pretending to listen to the school master, Ms. Rochelle. The woman had no heart. No one had listened to Ariel when she had cried for days and days that some young teenager had switched bodies with her, trapping her in this alien hell. Rochelle had dragged her back to school, and kept her under lock and key.

Hope became fleeting after that, while the years ticked past. For the past four years, she’d been training at the all-girls school for orphans on how to be a proper maid and housewife.

The twenty-five years of her life training to be an engineer, then serving on the starship Tygra, then the sistership Thrycer, had been stolen.

Now that this body was almost of marriageable age, Ms. Rochelle, cursed school teacher, paraded Ariel out of the orphanage to find her a match. Every week or special event needing service, Ariel had on the job training with heavy supervision, pointing out Ariel’s light pink hair and ability to be a serviceable wife to a working man. Pink hair girls are sweethearts. Yeah right. That lowlife bottom-feeding insect, Lenchena, had stolen her body and her life.

Ariel had stopped complaining years ago because it got her nowhere. She was on her own and needed to find a way out of this body and back to her ship. With the almost age of marriage upon her, it was now or never. Then Ariel was going to find that little twit who stole her body and make her pay for stranding her on this backward planet.

“In a few weeks Ariel will be leaving us. Heading toward marriage with Massimo?” Ms. Rochelle’s voice pulled her back into the lecture.

“Err . . .” Massimo, with his hovercraft, became convenient transportation to leave the school with permission, but marriage? The boy dreamed of owning a restaurant with a pretty wife. She’d find a way off the planet, when she wasn’t being observed or offered for marriage to every low level non-space going man on this planet. Time ticked fast now.

“Ariel is lucky to have found a man so interested in her beauty, he can overlook her status.”

Ariel’s mouth tightened and she lowered her head to hide her scowl. No. Massimo was a child, too. Getting her body back from the child thief, Lenchena, mattered far more. This body was now strong. Away from the ever-watchful teacher, she’d have her chance for escape at one of the upcoming diplomatic events where she’d be a maid or serve others dinner. Plus, Sheratons mated for life, something Ariel refused to believe in. But in order not to draw attention to herself, she played along. “Um, yes. I am.”

A group of male soldiers marched past the closed door of the school room. The females in the class twisted around to catch a glimpse of them. Ariel didn’t join her classmates in staring and drooling at the opposite sex.

Pathetic.

Why did these aliens keep males and females separate until marriage? The customs of this world never ceased to amaze her. The teacher taught the virgin teenagers to expect women to fall into orgasm whenever a man’s hand grazed her body. Seriously? Had they never had sex before? In her memory, sex hadn’t been that all-encompassing.

For the past four years she’d been stuck in this body, living through alien teenage hormones. The sexually denied tightness irritated her body, and her mind longed to be back working on a single engine design. On the Thrycer, she’d run a top design engine room, winning numerous awards for ingenuity on a space ship. Then she’d joined the boarding party to Sheraton, being told the planet was a relaxing and safe tranquil spa. Lies.

If Ariel let them, these alien hormones would dull her reaction time in the girl’s leftover body that held her consciousness. She’d managed to keep slim and fit with exercise as she bided her time until she found a way to her freedom, and got her body and life back. When she finished this, she’d fix everything. She’d force the girl who stole from her to return with the borrowed body to make the final switch and right everything.

Then hating her life at the age of twenty four, she decided to go to law school. Four years later, after passing the bar and practicing very little, she realized that she hates the practice of law. She refused to one day turn 50 and realize she had nothing but her career and hours at a desk. After realizing she needed change, she became a high school teacher. Teaching is rewarding, but writing is a passion.

During all this time, she always wrote stories to entertain herself or calm down. Her parents are practical minded people demanding a job, and Victoria spent too many years living other people’s dreams, but when she sat down to see what skill she had that matched what she enjoyed doing, writing became so obvious. The middle school year book when someone wrote in it that one day she’d be a writer made sense when she turned thirty.

When she woke up to what she wanted, the dream of writing became so obvious. She dreams of writing professionally, where her barista can make her coffee and a walk on the beach, can motivate her tales. Contemporary romances are just fun to write. She’s always thinking whose getting hurt and whose story is next on the list to fall in love. Victoria’s love of writing has kept her centered and focused through her many phases, and she’s motivated to write many stories.
