WAITING ON WEDNESDAY- KISS OF TWILIGHT
"Waiting on Wednesday" is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, which highlights upcoming releases we're eagerly anticipating.
This weeks pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is:
Dupree Jackson is everything a senior soldier of the Order of Templar should be. Cold. Unbreakable. A master at arms in the fight against demons. But as a hybrid, Dupree is beginning to lose himself to the demon half of his soul.
One woman has the power to save him. If he lets her.
Kara Stone wants two things in life: to be merged with a demon so that she can become a full member of the Order, and Dupree Jackson. She knows they are meant to be together, if only Dupree would love her back.
Though his desire for Kara is undeniable, Dupree's need to protect her is stronger. Not wanting to see her merge, to see her face the internal struggle he deals with every day, he refuses to bond with her. But when Kara becomes a target and uncovers a dark secret about her past, Dupree may no longer have a choice.
What's your "Waiting on" choice this week?

MONDAY MAILBOX AND A CONTEST
It didn't really come in the mailbox but I did get it for my Kindle and wish to pass on the love for all things Jaci Burton.
A Rare Gift by Jaci Burton
With a disastrous marriage behind him, Wyatt Kent has no interest in
getting involved with any woman, let alone his ex-wife's younger sister.
But when Calliope Andrews hires him to build an addition onto her day
care center, Wyatt can't help but notice she's a desirable woman, as
warm and funny as his ex was cold and aloof.
Calliope fell hard
for Wyatt the first time he walked through the door of her family's
home, and can't believe her sister let him get away. He's still the star
of all her fantasies, and she's determined to prove to him she's
nothing like his manipulative ex. Wyatt may be all business, but
Calliope sees the way he looks at her when he's supposed to be
working...
It's not long before Wyatt and Calliope are keeping
each other warm on cold December nights. But it's going to take a
Christmas miracle for Wyatt to put his trust in love a second time.
I'll be giving away one eBook copy of "A Rare Gift" to a commenter below.

SATURDAY SPOTLIGHT: HOT VAMPIRE TOUCH BY LISA RENEE JONES
Hot Vampire Touch
Troy, a Vampire Warden betrayed
by a werewolf he loved, turned into something not Vampire or Wolf. The woman -
the wolf - who will heal him...if he doesn't destroy them both first!
About the Vampire Wardens:
In blood they will find destiny and
the eternal bond of passion…
The Wardens series begins with a trilogy of three brothers—Evan, Aiden and Troy Brooks are brothers (in order by human age: 34, 32, 28), who were early settlers of the town of New Braunfels, Texas, in the 1500s. When the town was haunted by a series of brutal animal attacks that left a half-dozen townsmen murdered, the Brooks brothers took things into their own hands. Armed and ready for action, they set out into the wilderness, determined to find this animal and kill it. What they found was a female vampire who decided the brothers were scrumptious morsels, worth keeping around for a lifetime. She attacked the brothers and turned them to vampires.
No sooner did she turn them, though, than another vampire appeared and killed her. This vampire declared himself a “Warden” of the Vampire Council. Wardens uphold the rules of the Vampire race, and report to the Council. Killing humans is punishable by death, and their ‘Maker’ had broken that rule. The brothers were then taken to the Council, where they were taught how to survive without killing, how to mingle with humans as if one of them, when to move on from a location so that they would not be suspected as vampires, and most importantly, who their enemies were and how to defeat them.
In the end the brothers were granted a financial dowry that had belonged to their Maker and given the choice of freedom, under Council rule, or an alternative—to become Wardens.
Now, the brothers travel together as Wardens, tracking outlaw vampires, killing them, and protecting innocent humans. It is their eternal duty.

GUEST POST AND A CONTEST - DREA BECRAFT
If money was no option what
would you want wrapped in a bow?
Post by Drea Becraft
Ti's the season…yep the
Christmas season.
I have most of my outside
family already bought for but my children only a few things so far. I am so looking forward to seeing all the
faces of my loved ones as they open their gifts.
Recently I asked a few
questions to everyone and anyone that would listen. For this blog the question is: If money was
no option what would you want wrapped in a bow?
Really simple-my house, the
thought of having my house paid off sends me full of glee. Hell, I don’t even want a new one, just this one;
with a deed stating paid in full and that it is all ours… lol.
Others answered:
A trip to Hawaii - at least 2
weeks ~Susan Romito
Hm mm...What does it say about
me if I say I can't think of anything? I have a sweet hubby and two amazing
kids. My parents are both alive and healthy. Not sure it gets any better than
what I have right now. ~Mari Carr
A house lol-ooh or one of
those leisure vans that are like a Winnebago, but easier to drive so I could
grab my laptop, my dog and my hubby and go see...everything. ~R.G. Alexander
aka Rachel Grace
Oh I want a trip to Hawaii
too!
So what would your ultimate
gift be? Tell me below and be entered in
to win a copy of my newest Christmas release The Real Saint Nic!
Blurb:
Aimee’s life changed one
night, not long ago, when she staked a vampire to save another. Still reeling
from that life changing night, Aimee decides to go home with Brenda, her best
friend, for the holidays. She never expected Brenda’s brother, who comes off
more like the Grinch then Santa, to have so many saint like qualities. Years
spent alone, with no family or friends, plays heavy on her mind but Nic could possibly
be the one who changes it all.
Christmas has always been a
sore spot for Nicolai. He’s the real saint Nic, but society has him all wrong.
He’s no saint. In truth, he’s a vampire. Over the centuries, Nic has spent the
holidays fighting off the ridicule from his younger brother and giving to those
less fortune, not seeing his own worth. Until one mortal, brought home by his
sister Brenda, changes the holiday and his outlook on life for eternity.
Is it possible that Nic has
finally found his Mrs. Clause? When worlds meld, can Aimee find the happy ever
after she once asked Santa for so many years ago, or is she doomed to spend
forever lonely on Christmas?
Excerpt:
With a flick of his hand, the
lights next to the bed turned on as did a few lamps across the room. Once my
eyes adjusted, I got a better look at the amount of presents. Hundreds littered
the room. The only space not filled was around the bed and a path to two doors
in opposite directions. Red, green, and gold splattered the room in a festive
show of color.
“You really are Saint Nic.”
Astonished I tried desperately to keep my mouth closed.
“Please don’t call me that.”
“Why not?” Turning away from
the presents I turned my gaze to Nic’s in question.
“Because, I’m nowhere near a
saint.” Brows furrowing Nic stared intently at the computer screen.
“Then how did you get the
name?”
“That would be Jaysen’s
doing. One day, not to long after I started giving the gifts, we got into an
argument. I don’t remember most of what was said, after all, it was quite a
while ago, but I do remember the comment was rather snide. To this day neither
of us knows how it ended up outside our argument, but it still reminds me of
that comment. Besides saints are deemed so because of the greatness they do for
mankind all I do is give a few toys to some kids.”
Moved by the noticeable hurt
in his eyes, a relentless knot twisted in my stomach. Though I still didn’t
know him, the connection between us grew with each passing moment.
Whether it was hormones or
the fact that we were supposed to be mates, I didn’t know, but I couldn’t stand
to see him sad.
I scooted out of the bed and
made my way to him, wrapping paper shuffling under my feet. Then, as if it were
the most natural thing to do, I lowered myself into his lap and hugged him
close. “To those kids you are the world.”
“That’s why I do it every
year. Though not in the grand scale that everyone thinks. I try to help at
least a few orphanages and hospitals each year.”
“See, you are a saint. Every
year you create the biggest rush of hope and joy to the children across the
world. Though you can‘t help them all, the small sacrifices you have made over
the centuries have helped to shape our world and helps friends and families
learn the true meaning of giving. Without you there would be no hope of a
perfect
Christmas. If that isn‘t the
act of a saint, I don‘t know what is.”
With a grunt in my ear, Nic’s
arms tightened around me as he buried his head in the hair between my shoulder
blade and ear.
Pulling away slightly, I
raised my hands and held of each side of his head. My fingers ran though the
silken strands of his hair using that leverage I brought his head up until our
eyes met. Leaning down I kissed his full lips with a slight brush of mine.
You are the best mate
anyone could ask for. Speaking while
our mouths were still fused, Nic sipped from my lips slowly.
So what would your ultimate
gift be? Comment below for a chance to win one of two copies of my newest Christmas release The Real Saint Nic!
Contest open for both US and International. Contest open until 5PM on Sunday, December 4, 2011. Winner to be chosen via Random.org
