VBT Tour and Giveaway - Educating Ethan

Today I'm proud to be the host on the final stop in Jennifer Lynne's blog tour for Educating Ethan.

Please make sure to leave a comment below to be entered in the contest as Jennifer will be awarding one commenter during her blog tour a $20 Amazon or Barnes and Noble Gift Card.

Short Blurb for Educating Ethan:
Ida Deloraine intends to build herself a new life and a new career in catering, after a painful divorce. When the much younger Ethan Holt moves in across the street, an innocent flirtation quickly becomes serious when the two realise their age difference is no barrier to all-consuming passion.

But Ethan is the exact opposite of what Ida is looking for in a sexual partner. He is young and vibrant, with his life and his dreams still ahead of him, whereas hers are all in the past. Can Ethan, who is fighting his own demons in the form of a car accident, failed marriage and forced career change, convince Ida to overcome the past and live for the moment?

And just who is educating who in this cougar encounter?

My Interview with Jennifer:

Me:  What is one question you want to ask readers or wish readers would ask you?

Jennifer:  I'd love to ask what everyone is reading right now, and what they would recommend in the romance genre. I'm always looking for a good book and I think recommendations are a great way to discover new authors.

Me:  Who is your favorite book cover model?

Jennifer:  There are so many great book cover models whose work I admire. Jimmy Thomas comes to mind, of course, but today I'm going to give due to Billy Freda, who appears as one of the heroes on my cover for ménage romance, Platinum Passion. He's just delightful to look at, and he embodies the character perfectly.

Me:  What is your favorite beverage?

Jennifer:  It's a toss up between coffee and wine. I like my coffee hot, black, strong and with two sugars. Good quality beans, too. No instant for me! I like my wine red…or white…or sparkling, or…however. As long as it is dry, not sweet, I'm happy.

Me:  What is your favorite thing about Australia?

Jennifer:  I would say the people and culture. We are a diverse bunch here, with a very multicultural flavor to our foods, celebrations, the arts, language and way of life. So it is never boring! Of course, I also love the varied landscape of our beautiful country, from the beaches to the rainforests to the breathtaking red centre. So much to see and do here, and all in an environment containing honest, laid-back, fun-loving people from all walks of life. A wonderful place to live.

Me: If you could take your dream vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be and who would you take with you?

Jennifer:  As much as I love Australia, it is nice to experience something new every once in a while. So if not tropical north Queensland or one of the Whitsunday islands, I'd say a super-expensive hideaway either in the Maldives or Bora Bora. With my partner, of course. I've always wanted to experience a true luxury escape away from the tourist crowds. But given the cost, it is probably likely to remain a dream rather than a reality!

Me:  If you had to describe yourself as a piece of clothing, what would you be?

Jennifer:  A piece of clothing? Gosh, that's a hard one! Um, something multi-colored to represent all the aspects of my personality – I'm a Leo and I live by my emotions – good and bad. Everything out there, on show. How about a brightly colored scarf?

7. Five quick things:
      Chocolate or Strawberry?

Not a real sweet tooth, so definitely strawberry over chocolate. But I'd prefer a fig!

      Beer or Wine?

Wine.

      Cake or Pie?

Pie – a savoury one like chicken or vegetable.

      Boxers, Briefs or Commando?

Depends on the circumstances, of course:) But overall I think briefs.

      Blond or Brunette?

Brunette – dark is sexy to me!

Me:  Where can we find you in person this year?

Jennifer:  I live in Melbourne, Australia, and apart from a planned honeymoon in August (destination yet to be decided, but unfortunately not the Maldives or Bora Bora!) I'll be here, plugging away at my day job, running the kids around, and hopefully continuing to write in my spare time.

Me:  Ever been to the States?

Jennifer:  No, but my sister spent several months backpacking around and has some wonderful stories and photos from her time over there, so there are certainly parts of the States I'd really love to visit.

Me:  What can we expect from you next? Can you share a snippet of what you are working on?

Jennifer:  I'm working on Books 2 and 3 in the the Gods of Love series (of which Platinum Passion was the first). Book 2 is called Aphrodite Calling and tells the story of Himeros, god of sexual desire, and his relationship with modern-day career woman, Gina. Book 3 is about Anteros, god of requited/unrequited love, and a couple's adventure in his sex club. It is tentatively titled, Sex Club Secrets.

    1. Hi Marybelle, thank you - it's been a pleasure having you on the tour with me :) I love book covers of all kinds - even if I don't have a clue who the models are. It's so interesting to get a visual glimpse of what might be inside, isn't it?

  3. Hmmm... what am I reading? "Anything You Want" by Erin Nicholas -- so fun!

RE: cover models -- my all time fave has to be Nathan Camp. Yum. And such a nice guy, too!

    1. Hi Mysti, I just googled Anything You Want and it does look like a great read. But it's real funny you should mention that one in particular - have a look at the cover models, then check out my cover for Educating Ethan! Look familiar? I would never have known! I will definitely put that one on my own TBR list :)

  4. I am going to miss following your tour. Hurry with the next book so I can follow you again. I tried to think of an author I love to read, but I love many different genres. I just couldn't pick one.

    1. Hi Mom Jane, it's been lovely having you join me along the way on this tour. I love reading lots of different genres, too. I usually have 2 or 3 books on the go at any one time - depending on what I'm in the mood for. Tonight it will be Pale Demon by Kim Harrison. Thanks for your good wishes for the honeymoon, and also for all your wonderful comments.

  5. Terrific interview-love your thoughts on life and cover models. Pale Demon is an excellent choice for a book-I'm getting ready to read A Perfect Blood, the next book in that series myself. Hope the honeymoon is all that you desire, and I look forward to reading this one soon.

  8. Sorry to see the last day of your tour upon us! It has been fun following you around...better late than never in some cases!

To answer your question: I'm reading 'How to Woo a Reluctant Lady' by Sabrina Jeffries. It is book 3 in her Hellions of Halstead Hall series. Love her work. Up next, I have a variety of Regency Mystery books I'd like to start but I'm not sure where I should start. I've read a few of the Sebastian St Cyr mysteries by C S Harris and have a couple more on my TBR shelves. I have new Regency Mystery series waiting to start. The Captain Lacey series by Ashley Gardner and the new Lady Arianna series by Andrea Penrose are calling to me. Oh dear, SMBSLT! What shall I do? How will I ever choose?

    1. Hi Karen, lovely to see you here today! I don't read a lot of Regency, though I know how popular it is. My sister adores Regency books and has probably read all the ones you mention. I know that dilemma well - how to choose the next book to read, LOL! For me, it usually depends on my mood, though I confess I once laid several TBR's out on the bed and got my cat to choose - she sniffed one and walked on it, so I knew that was my bedtime read that night! Though now that I have my Kindle, that won't work!

  9. I live in the States, but I've visited Melbourne twice -- I love Australia! I'm a Leo, too, Jennifer, and of all the zodiac signs, I'd think a fiery, emotional Leo would be perfect for a cougar romance. Is Ida your heroine a Leo, too, LOL?
Educating Ethan sounds like a great read :) Good luck with it!

Have fun on your honeymoon, and congratulations!

    1. Hi Leigh, lovely to see you here today! So glad to hear that you love Australia - and especially that you've been to my hometown :) Thanks for your good wishes for our honeymoon!Interesting question about Ida's star sign - I see her as an Aquarius and I see Ethan as a Taurus. This is a pairing that will offer some security as well as passion, and I think that is what both of these beautiful people need. Thanks for commenting!

    2. Hi Leigh, I replied earlier but it didn't show up (thought I'd better say that just in case we end up with two replies here!). Glad you love Australia, and especially Melbourne :) And I love using zodiac signs to create "pairings" for my heroine/hero when I'm planning a new story - it helps with the character development, and potential conflicts. Thanks for commenting!

  10. You want to know what we're reading now...I'm not reading a romance. I'm reading Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain. It's an excellent book. The next thing I plan to read is Witchful Thinking by H.P. Mallory.

Jennifer...You mentioned in an earlier tour stop that there was a wedding in your future. I wish you and your partner much happiness and romance!

    1. Hi Catherine, thanks for stopping by - will miss my regular commenters once this tour ends :( I had heard of the Susan Cain book, but not read it. I just googled it to get some more info and it sounds like a fascinating read - I will put that one on my TBR list. As a reader and writer I do tend to be more of an introvert (despite being a Leo!) so I am interested to read that one. Thanks for your best wishes for our wedding - wishing you health and happiness in the future, too, Catherine!
