Book one in the Circle of Three Series
A new job, a new home, a new lifestyle...
When teacher Tamera moved to Cranston to teach, she knew the lifestyle she'd encounter would take some getting used to. Though she was raised in an open-minded household she doesn't have experience with ménage relationships therefore her attraction to her fellow teachers, Kai and Brian, takes her by surprise.
When the trio is stranded together during a freak snowstorm, Tamera discovers her attraction isn't one sided. In fact, the men have been waiting for the opportunity to show her how perfect three can be.
My Review:
I really liked this short novella, the story was well done and the plot moved at a very good pace. I liked how the three main characters were written and the secondary characters were well done too. This is the first book in Ms. Paulin's Circle of Three series and I do plan on reading the other two books.
Tamera is an interesting heroine, she's a liberated woman who knows that the town is based on the Triad relationship. She's never personally experienced a ménage and when she first arrives in town she doesn't think that she would ever be tempted to experience that kind of relationship. She has come to Cranston because it's a private town and she is avoiding a childhood acquaintance, someone who her parents thought she would marry and who expects to marry her. She's attracted to Brian and Kai, two of the male teachers at her school.
Brian and Kai are best friends and actually live together. They are both attracted to Tamera and in fact helped to choose her as a teacher for their school. Kai's uncle is one of the founders of Cranston and as such has a lot of power when it comes to deciding who can move into Cranston and who works for Cranston. Brian and Kai have discussed having a triad relationship and both want Tamera to be their third.
Since this is a short story we don't get alot of relationship building, however, we do get the facts that these three people have known each other for several months and that they trust each other. There are plenty of spicy elements in the story and they are hot. There is a happy ending and we get to see Brian and Kai prove that they can be more than just good lovers to Tamera when they resolve her issue with the childhood acquaintance.
My Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
