Teaser Tuesday - Dark, Deadly Love

My Teaser: Dark, Deadly Love by Denise Agnew    

Alexandra's mouth dropped open as Ross turned her toward him and kept his arm about her waist.  As they pressed together from chest to knees, she placed her gloved hands on his chest.  Tingles of excitement whirled through her system like a tiny tornado.  As she took a deep breath, she inhaled his masculine scent. 

She found herself trapped in his dark gaze. "Ross, this isn't proper."

Alexandra Watson is too tall, too opinionated, too American. Too everything for London society—and for Sir Ross Havenwood. Once she dreamed of being his wife, but when she steps off the ship, orphaned and penniless, it’s with the knowledge Ross only feels an obligation to protect her as his ward.

Her empathic abilities tell her that the one man she once trusted is haunted by a dangerous edge. That edge intrigues her…and fuels dreams of murder too brutal to share.
