About the book:

What happens when monsters turn out to be real? One summer night while camping in the woods, Morgan Carter finds out in a big way. A tall mysterious stranger, Greyson Crawford, risks his life to try and save her sister from the vicious wolf attacking their camp. When he’s bitten and disappears into the night, Morgan can only assume the worst.

Greyson shows up a year later, and he’s a different animal altogether. His eye color shifts constantly and the rumble in his throat sounds more animal than human. She hasn’t any idea where he’s been all this time, but a good guess as to what he’s become.

Grey is determined not to let the darkness of his new existence affect Morgan and the little girl in her care. He hasn’t been able to stop thinking about Morgan but knows he should stay away and let her live a normal life. That’s easier said than done, though. A new danger pulls him from the shadows to keep her safe, and he’s no wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Can she accept what lurks just below his surface? More importantly, can she survive him?

Excerpt

Grey’s arms and legs were on fire, burning from his very veins, blistering every nerve ending on the way out. Why was the pain tearing through his chest? He tried to hail the woman but nothing came out except a quiet groan. Was he dying? He arched his neck toward her sister. Her body was so mangled it was all but unrecognizable as human. The girl’s eyes were open, fixed, staring back at him. She was dead. Would he die, too? What was that thing? That monster?

Maybe this was all a dream. Maybe he still slept, back in his campsite a quarter of a mile away. He’d been sleeping there only a few minutes ago. Maybe he was just having a vivid night terror and he’d wake at any moment to the relief that this wasn’t real. The girl slid over to him, but he was already panting in pain. Fire in his blood burned him up.

Her mouth moved, but he couldn’t hear anything over the roaring in his ears. Like helicopter blades, the sound drowned out everything. Her lips were full, and when his vision blurred, he tried to focus on her face. She was beautiful. Tiny. Delicate like a hummingbird. Even through spilling tears, the moss green color of her eyes was clear and compelling.

Her voice overcame the screeching in his ears. “What’s your name?”

“Greyson,” he rasped. “Greyson Crawford.” Someone should know who he was. Notify Dad what had happened there in the woods of Enchanted Rock. “What’s yours?” It was getting so hard to breathe. He had to know. He’d leave the world on her name.

“Morgan. My name’s Morgan.”

Cover Reveal & Giveaway for Nocturn by Scheherazade

NOCTURNE
by Scheherazade
Publication Date: October 1, 2014
Genres: Dark Erotica, Musical Novel
Add to Goodreads

About the book:

Emmanuel's career as a classical pianist is picking up, and he is ready to leave his teaching days behind. But a generous offer makes him reconsider, and he agrees to one last teaching gig. One look at his new student, the daughter of a wealthy French expat, and the pianist is lost, irresistibly drawn to the seductive young woman.

She, intrigued by her exotic and passionate new tutor, actively pursues him until he gives in, and they find themselves in the midst of a torrid romance.

But someone is dead set on preventing those two to get together...

An unconventional portrait of love and lust, a meditation on ethics, obsession and expectations, and a journey of self-discovery, Nocturne is a psychological erotic suspense, and contains mature elements. Nocturne is also a musical novel--original music composed especially to complement the story.

Excerpt

Sitting at the piano for the second half of the concert, Emmanuel sought Alex in the audience. There she was in the third row, smiling at him.

She leaned towards the guy sitting next to her, and exchanged a few words with him. The guy was thin, had a pointed nose and dirty blond hair. Emmanuel wondered who he was. Boyfriend, probably. Lucky bastard.

The quartet was on fire tonight. Emmanuel had given each musician a cadenza. A cadenza was the classical equivalent of a solo. The four musicians rocked their parts. The first violin did his trademark pizzicato, the viola her brooding lower register complaint, the second violin his usual multi strings spectacle, and the cellist, his good natured, rich sounds. And Emmanuel was the heart, keeping them all alive and kicking with his omnipresent piano.

After the concert, a few people hung around to talk with the musicians. Alex was amongst them, along with the blond guy who stood a few inches behind her. Filled with after concert euphoria, Emmanuel hugged Alex tightly, realizing halfway through that it might not be the most appropriate thing to do what with being her teacher. He shrugged it off and kissed both her cheeks. “Thank you for coming.”

“Thank you for the tickets. My brother had to stay in London an extra day. He apologizes.” Alex’s sweet voice grazed Emmanuel’s ears, making him shiver as if she’d actually nibbled on his earlobe.

Emmanuel couldn’t care less Alex’s brother hadn’t made it. Alex had, which was why he had offered the tickets in the first place. “You’re here, it’s all that matters. I wanted you to hear a live cello. Did you like it?”

Alex stroked his forearm in a tender gesture, nodding.

“My piano didn’t bore you to death, then?”

Her hand slid up his arm to squeeze his triceps and she smiled, slowly shaking her head. Lord that girl could speak without uttering a single word. Her eyes were exceptionally vivid tonight. He couldn’t look away. Couldn’t even back up when she leaned forward oh so slightly. In fact, he found himself leaning forward as well, and a strong urge to touch her, to kiss her, possessed him.

The excited and bubbly laugh coming from Alex’s escort snapped Emmanuel out of it. “Are you kidding? That was epic!”

“Glad you enjoyed. I’m Manny.” Emmanuel offered his hand to the escort, who shook it and introduced himself as Blake, the blush on his cheeks quickly spreading to his neck and ears.

Shane, the cellist, shouted from somewhere behind Emmanuel. “Yo, Manny, pictures!”

“Right. I should go.”

“I’ll see you tomorrow, Mr. Cross,” Alex said.

“At 2. Tighten up the Haydn. It was sloppy last week. Slow it down if you must.”

“Yes, Mr. Cross.”

“And keep your spine pulled up.”

“And my fingers curled as if I was holding a ball as fragile as an egg. I know.”

“It’s not good enough to know it. Apply it, yeah?”

“Yes, Mr. Cross.”

His hand took on a life of its own, and reached over to gently stroke her cheek. Her deference towards him did strange things to his insides. Pleasurable things. Warm, tingly, satisfying yet yearning things. Forbidden.

*NOTE* Author Scheherazade has a kickstarter campaign going on which is why there is a second giveaway option.  Nocturne is unique in that it is not only a dark erotic novel, it is also a musical novel. What is a musical novel? While most authors listen to music and create a playlist from music that is already out, Scheherazade has hired a composer to make original music specifically for Nocturne. Since her main character, Emmanuel, is a composer, she grew inspired and thought, wouldn't it be fascinating to have an original soundtrack for the novel? About the book:

Obsession is never just skin deep.

Sam Blanco’s greatest desire is to escape his abusive father and violent neighborhood the only way he can—by earning money as a tattoo artist for a street gang. He’s befriended their leader, the deadly Leo Reyes, and gained a measure of safety under their protection. But just when things are going right for the first time in Sam’s life, Leo’s girlfriend, Pilar Flores, walks in and requests a tattoo in an unusual location. Sam obliges, but the experience leaves them both reeling. Unable to focus for days, Sam finds himself craving Pilar’s touch, but she’s exactly the kind of trouble he doesn’t need.

Pilar Flores is her father’s daughter. Being the daughter of a drug lord is not an easy role to fill, but she aspires to live up to the title and make her father proud. But her father has no plans to allow her into the business, and Pilar hates being sidelined. She hates that Leo is away for days on end, and she especially hates being treated like an incompetent female by every man she sees. Except for Sam. She decides to take control of her life the only way she knows how—through seduction. But she’s not prepared for how eager and passionate a lover Sam is, or how deeply she’s drawn to him. Even though she knows their ill-fated affair can’t possibly end well…

EXCERPT

(Leo’s POV)

The small plane touched down on the runway of the airfield outside Los Angeles. After taxiing to the hangar, Leo powered down the engines and pulled off his headset. He felt like a weight had been lifted, but anxiety twisted in his gut as he worked through his explanation to the old man.

Gustavo had needed to be taken care of, that fact had been clear to him for months. The only reason he hadn’t gone to Arturo Flores about Gustavo’s consistent series of fuckups was because of his promise to Pilar to leave her father out of it.

The deed was done, the memory of the corpse he’d left behind in the little shack in the Sonoran desert still left him ice cold to his core. He’d had to ignore the spark of memory of another pair of eyes whose light the same gun had extinguished two years earlier. Two years to the day, he thought.

Leo no longer regretted any of those bullets, starting with the very first one from his brother’s gun that had pierced his own chest. Each had brought him closer to her. Now all he had to do was claim what was his.

The phone at his hip buzzed as he made his way across the tarmac to the parking lot. He settled in his car and started the engine, turning the AC on full blast while he checked his messages.

911! Call me when you land!

It was from Pilar. Goosebumps rose up on his arms in spite of the hot August air that baked the interior of his car.

Stone At Your Service
By Rie Warren
Carolina Bad Boys, Book 1

Publisher:  Rie Warren
Expected Release Date: September 25, 2014
Genre: Erotic Romantic Comedy

About the book:

One bad boy mechanic, one sexy romance writer, and an impossible situation. Hell on wheels? More like hell in high heels.

Bad boy mechanic Josh Stone likes to get his hands dirty any way he can—the filthier, the better. Ever since his wife walked out on him and their young son, he’s only had room in his heart for two loves: the kid and cars.

Roped into playing his best buddy’s gay boyfriend during a romance writers convention, the player meets the girl who’s gonna rock his world. Leelee Songchild. Shy, bashful, beautiful Leelee who blushes at the drop of a hat yet writes hardcore smut to rival Josh’s backlist of Penthouse Forum.

The only problem is his hands are tied. Josh can’t stab his old friend/fake lover in the back even though all he wants to do is take luscious Leelee to bed, and maybe, love her. When the truth comes out, all hell breaks loose. Too bad romance is just for books.

WARNING: Uncompromisingly hot sex, hilarious hijinks, and heartfelt romance—STONE is a triple threat.

EXCERPT

As soon as the venue grew crowded and the noise became a deafening roar, the already dim lights lowered even more and three spots hit center stage. Strutting from the darkness beyond, a man with slicked back black hair and painted on leathers—I dare-fuckin’-say they were tighter than the pair I’d trashed last night—threw his arms wide.

Women erupted from their seats, leaped onto tables, started throwing panties, money, wads of paper with phone numbers. Janice pounded the table, a small smile flirted on Leelee’s lips, and Jacqueline blew a man-hungry whistle through her teeth.

Nicky smirked at me.

“Welcome to ’Lanta, y’all! When we heard there was a group of beautiful,” he thrust his hips once, “talented,” twice, “freaky group of sexy romance writers in town?” The MC gave Jules Gem a run for her money, rolling his pelvis obscenely while he licked his lips and the ladies threatened to stampede the stage. His voice dropped, “Well, we just had to put on a special show for y’all!” Stepping back, he raised his arms again, shouting, “Welcome to the all-male revue, Magic Mike Night  . . . erm . . . make that Noon!”

From every corner of the room, men appeared. Lots of men. Almost naked men. No worse than what I’d gotten up to last night, but then Leelee had been focused solely on me. Now she wasn’t. Her mouth dropped open, her cheeks flushed in that pretty shade of pink the way it did when she was on the brink of orgasm. Threading through the audience of bloodthirsty demons, aka dick lovin’ babes, the strippers eventually made it onstage in one piece, without their negligible outfits being torn off their bodies.

A few kisses were probably stolen and asses squeezed, I knew, because I’d been on the receiving end of that before.

I sat, glowering.
