About the book:

She’ll do anything to get her way.

Tall, elegant and beautiful, Emma Thorpe has wanted a baby for years. The yearning for a child occupies all her thought, her time, her effort, and any money she and her husband can scrape up for medical intervention. After trying and failing to conceive, the solution that finally comes to her is to leave her husband and hope to find a man—any man—capable of fulfilling her deepest desire.

Big, handsome Clay Thorpe isn’t the kind of man to let his wife just wander away. It takes a few months of Emma’s absence from his bed to devise a plan, but he’s determined. Eventually, Clay lures Emma home with a convoluted strategy only he could concoct, involving an antique diamond ring, sex three times a day, and...a turkey baster?

Caution: This is a work of fiction. Please don’t attempt duplicating Clay’s methods!

Looking for a spicy romance with a good dose of humor? Look no further than Clay’s Quest by Christi WilliamsA contemporary Western romance giving us a snapshot into a married couple’s attempts to get pregnant, and the financial and emotional toll their attempt has taken on their relationship, Ms. Williams’ story kept me entertained from the first page.  While the subject of being able to get pregnant when you are fertility challenged is nothing to joke about, Ms. Williams reminds us that sometimes our obsession to get what we want gets in the way of getting what we want.

I really enjoyed reading Emma and Clay’s story; a young couple together for ten years, their relationship has stood the test of time but is breaking under Emma’s desire to be a mother.  When Emma moves out temporarily and claims she wants a divorce, Clay refuses to give up on their marriage and comes up with a plan to win her back.  A plan that simply put – cracked me up!

Will Emma give Clay and his plan a chance?  Will Emma and Clay’s plan to get pregnant work? You’ll have to read Clay’s Quest to find out.  I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading more of Ms. Williams’ work.

My Rating:  4 out of 5 Stars

About the book:

A secret she must never share. A secret that two warring species are determined to control. A universe’s future at stake.

Twenty-year-old Cassiel Winters joins Earth’s new space academy in hopes of finding her brother, one of Command’s top pilots and her only family, who’s been reported MIA. But she quickly realizes she may not be cut out for life in space, where female cadets are outnumbered, competition’s fierce, and she’s already failed her hand-to-hand combat test once.

When Cassiel’s manipulated into a perilous mission, she encounters a warrior species bred to protect the universe from an even greater threat. And she learns that her secret visions are at the heart of it all. Now Cassiel must fight to control her own destiny and race to save her brother—even if it means pretending to be the pawn of Prime Or’ic, the cold-as-steel Thell’eon leader. Even if it means risking her life, facing hard truths, and making the ultimate sacrifice.

~Excerpt~

Betrayal. That’s what I brood on lying here in what appears to be a rudimentary sickbay on what I assume is the Thell’eon warship while pretending to be unconscious. I’ve betrayed King with that, that alien. How could I? I mean, does mind kissing even count? Dark Eyes clearly took advantage of me. Didn’t he? A flash of me undressing him, begging him to lie down with me, pops into view.

Oh! What kind of horn-dog am I? It was that state I was in. What did he call it? Symbiosis. Humpf. More like Sexbiosis. So it is his fault! And even, in this very moment, I wrestle with longing to go back there. I swear, I’ve never felt freer than I did in that field of feather reeds. Liberated. I could be who I needed to be without question. Need what I needed. Take what I needed. Give back so easily. It was, magnificent.

Yeah, if you weren’t suffering a dangerous concussion and trapped on a warship full of affection-starved alien thugs! Get a grip, Cassiel!

I could cry. Really. I mean if ever there was a reasonable time to cry it would be now. Kidnapped by aliens through no small fault of my own. Why did I take that stupid $#%@ device off of Dark Eyes? Tricked into a lusty intimate episode with one of them. Far, far away from any help. Will ESE figure out what happened to me? Hathaway! He will have to tell them about the device now. Oh, it’s all my fault! I try to swallow. Okay. Just breathe. No. Don’t cry.

Blog Tour for Hot & Spoiled by P.T. Macias

Hot & Spoiled by P.T. Macias
Series: De La Cruz Saga #5

Buy Link: Amazon

Sebastian Antonio De La Cruz is the familia's architect. He’s the classic traditional macho Mexicano. He enjoys being single until the primos (his cousins) start falling in love. He starts to think about the chica (girl) of his dreams.

Cynthia Lopez walks into his life demanding, independent, and unconventional. She rocks his world. Tony fights to resist Cynthia and deals with her father’s objections. Tony believes Senor Lopez is the source of his familia’s (family's) heartaches and troubles.

"She’s hot, sexy, and makes me burn like no one ever has. I just can’t be with her. She’s a spoiled demanding chica and I will not be her toy!" Sebastian Antonio De La Cruz.

~Excerpt~

“Hola I’m Cynthia. Do you work here? Is your boss here? I need to talk to him. Can you go and look for him?” asks Cynthia. She looks at Tony. I wonder if he knows where the architect is at.

“Yeah, he’s here,” replies Tony. I wonder who this chica is. She’s pushy and demanding. I don’t like it, thinks Tony, attempting to calm down his body reaction to her nearness.

“Okay, so where is he?” asks Cynthia. She looks around trying to find the architect that her Papa wants her to meet with.

“What do you want with him?” asks Tony with curiosity. I wonder what she wants with me.

“I need to make sure that he designs the building exactly as we want the building to be built. I want him to review the land and get his thoughts on buildings,” replies Cynthia with a commanding voice.

Huh, hell no, I’m not taking her bullshit, thinks Tony annoyed. He looks at her from tip of her boots to the top of her glorious hair. Hell yeah, she makes me burn but she also makes me furious. Who in the hell does she think she is. She’s very condescending.

“Okay, let’s start this over,” says Tony taking a firm stance. “I’m Sebastian Antonio De La Cruz and you are?” he asks. He glares at her raising his eyebrow. He raised it with arrogance.

Cynthia stands there with her mouth gapping open. Wow! This hot hunk is the architect. I thought he was a worker and that the architect was an old fart, thinks Cynthia.

I like him, ponders Cynthia, going to him, running her finger over his lower lip, and biting her lip. Oh yeah, I will taste him. I bet he makes love like being in heaven. I want him. I’m going to have him.
